Prevention:

Providing burn and fire prevention programs to schools and other community organizations.

Providing burn prevention information to the public

Education:

Supporting burn care seminars for nurses, health care professionals and student nurses.

Participating in regional and national conferences of burn prevention and treatment issues.

Treatment:

Covering the cost of burn pressure garments and other specialized treatments for uninsured patients.

Recovery:

Sponsoring (3) free summer camps for children 8 to 18 years of age who have been treated for burn injuries at the Regional Burn Centers.

Proving Burn Buddies –empathy dolls- to pediatric burn patients to ease the anxiety of their hospitalization and assisting them in understanding the whys and how’s of changing their wound dressings.
